Backed Up By the Holy Spirit

The Lord Jesus has always been a big part of my life, and it started when I first went to church and learned of the joy and hopes to be a Christian, living in Christ. I didn’t pray much back then but every prayer brought me closer to Jesus.

After believing in Jesus as my savior brought many changes to my life, such as being much more forgiving and friendly. When I was small I used to be really scared of death, but after I believed in Christ, I received eternal life and the sickness of dying was gone. The purpose of my life was also set down before me clearly: to obey God, to fulfill his will in my life, and serve the church. Before I believed in Jesus, I thought that life was a struggle for money, houses and cars. I also learned that no matter how righteous a person seems, they are still sinners, and that helped me to come before the Lord humbled, and helped me to understand Jesus’ sacrifice.

After I believed in Christ, my will to break out of sinful temptation was backed up by the Holy Spirit. The battles against sin are hard, but when I pray to the Lord, I win. One of my many weaknesses in this spiritual conflict is my faith, because when I ask for a miracle, I doubt too much of the outcome on the outcome. God had grace on me and has shown me the miracles that I didn’t believe in. For example, I prayed that my dad would find a job, and the result: my dad takes care of my brother and I at home, while my mother found a suitable job! (Amazing)

I believe now that Jesus died on the cross for humanity and is my savior, he can wash my sins when I repent, answers my prayers, loves everybody, has given me eternal life, and is right here living within every Christian.
